Room IIThe wall text

Everyone knows the Mona Lisa.

Nobody knows what her smile really means.

Five hundred years ago, Leonardo da Vinci mastered sfumato, a technique that blurs outlines and makes expressions difficult to read.

Today, Monero applies a similar principle to money.

The transaction is visible. The details stay private.

The world's most recognisable face. The world's most recognisable privacy coin.

Monero Lisa.

Room IIISfumato, from the Italian fumo, smoke

Same principle, five centuries apart.

Leonardo painted in veils so thin that no line tells you where a lip ends. Monero signs, sends and settles money the same way: everyone can see that something happened, and no one can trace the outline.

Soft edges

Who received
Leonardo, c. 1503No hard outline anywhere.

Shadow melts into skin through glazes thinner than a human hair. You cannot point to the edge of the smile.

Monero, todayStealth addresses.

Every payment lands at a fresh one-time address. Nothing on the chain draws a line back to the wallet that owns it.

The crowd in the haze

Who sent
Leonardo, c. 1503Forms dissolve into mist.

The hills behind her fade into blue haze until you cannot say which shape is near and which is far.

Monero, todayRing signatures.

Your spend is signed alongside 15 decoys drawn from the chain. Observers see a ring of 16 and cannot tell which one paid.

The unreadable smile

How much
Leonardo, c. 1503An expression that won't settle.

Look at her eyes and she smiles. Look at her mouth and the smile fades. The meaning is there; the reading is withheld.

Amounts are sealed by confidential transactions. The network proves the sums balance without ever seeing the numbers.

The sitter decides

Who can see
Leonardo, c. 1503Kept close for life.

Leonardo never delivered the portrait. He carried it with him and decided who saw it.

Monero, todayView keys.

Share a view key with an accountant or auditor and they can see your incoming payments. Nobody else can.

Where the haze goes next. Monero's planned FCMP++ upgrade replaces the ring of 16 with a proof over the entire chain history, so the crowd becomes every output ever made. As of October 2026 it runs on Monero's test network; no mainnet date is set.

Your address paints your Lisa.

Paste a Monero address. Its fingerprint chooses the hour, the sky, the haze, the varnish and the frame, so every address gets its own sitting. The address never appears on the painting and never leaves this page.

Most memecoins are quoted in SOL. Monero Lisa is paired with XMR, so her price is measured against the privacy coin she is painted after.

When the Lisa rises, she rises against Monero itself. She launches on Pump.fun as a Custom Pair against wXMR, so every trade routes through Monero and every buy is also demand for the coin that inspired her.

Read before you buy

$MONELISA is a Solana token, and Solana is a public ledger. Your $MONELISA buys, sells and balances are visible like any other Solana token. The privacy on this page belongs to Monero. If you want it for your own money, hold XMR in a Monero wallet.

The codicil.

  1. i.

In 1503 a merchant's wife sat for a painter who never handed over the portrait. He kept her for sixteen years, carried her over the Alps, and died with her still on his easel.

  2. ii.

He wrote his notebooks backwards, right to left, in mirror script. A stranger saw only marks. To read him, you needed a mirror and the patience to use it.

Hold it to the mirror. Tap the line.
  3. iii.

On 21 August 1911 she vanished from the Louvre. For two years crowds queued to stare at the four hooks on the empty wall. That is when she became the most famous face on earth: while nobody could see her.

  4. iv.

In 2014 a coin took its name from the Esperanto word for coin, and chose to be the empty wall. Every payment is there for anyone to verify. No face is ever hung on it.

  5. v.

Every two minutes a new block is hung. Each spend stands among fifteen strangers who could have signed it. And since 2022, six tenths of a coin are minted with every block, forever, so the gallery never closes.

  6. vi.

Inventory 779. Sixteen years on the easel. Sixteen in the ring. A coincidence is a pattern nobody has signed.

The transaction is visible. The details stay private. The smile stays hers.
